LIGHT IN A NEW LIGHT

The standard Diadema linear does not need to be centered under the canopy because the power can be connected at various points along its length. Two suspension fittings are included to support the fixture at both ends.

David D'Imperio was born in Pennsylvania, but spent many teenage summers exploring the coral reefs of the Florida Keys. The fascination with sea life and organic form that was fostered in his youth greatly influenced his work. He moved to Miami after graduating college with a degree in graphic design and worked as an ad agency art director. His interest in marine science led to an invention patent in 1984 for an aquarium system. It was that product line that introduced him to low-voltage lighting technology.

D'Imperio left advertising and opened his own studio to produce and market his designs. Initially his output also included furniture and lights. By the late eighties his focus was on lighting. In 1999 the lighting studio expanded and moved to its Stony Run location.

Recently he has concentrated on the development of lightweight suspended aluminum designs.
